Subject: "Idiots all of you"

Ed wrote:

You people are really a bunch of idiots. You don't even have a clue as far as President Bush goes. You are the kind of people who are followers of hatred, and you hate Bush so much that you would spread any lie anytime and anywhere to further your agenda. Clinton, Now there's a crook if there ever was one. You do not even know what a lie is. I know this because Clinton lied to us all and you believed every word.Bush has not lied to us, he has only told us what he believed to be true. That is not lying. As far as the 1000 men we have lost it is truly sad,but they gave their life so that other men could be free and I don't think that they would appreciate your un-American activities. Though any loss of life is a tragedy we lost far more men in one week in Vietnam than we have in over 3 years in Iraq.

So think about what you are doing and zip your Lip !

Hello Ed,

Thank you for your letter. I appreciate hearing from people with differing points of view.

Ouch. That hurt, Ed.

I did! I didn't know that. I thought Clinton lied to his wife and daughter and the public about his affair with Monica. What he did was reprehensible. If I were Hillary I would have divorced him. Clinton was impeached for lieing to the grand jury but was found not guilty.

I love America. I support our troops. I value freedom and democracy. If you thought a President lied to Congress in order to start a war then I think you would probably raise your voice in protest. So the only difference between us is you think Bush told the truth and I think he deliberately misled Congress by fabricating a case for WMD. That is the core issue.

Unfortunately, Bush was aware of how weak the evidence was for WMD but acted as if there was strong evidence. Take, for example, the purported sale of uranium to Iraq from Niger. Bush was informed by the CIA and the State Department that the documents were probably forged. The sources were very suspect and the intelligence community did not believe the evidence. Tenet asked Bush not to use that story in his State of the Union Speech. But Bush used it anyway because it supported his agenda. He then went so far as to punish the Ambassador who reported the falsehood by outing his wife, Valerie Plame, as a CIA agent.

Bush was also told that the aluminum tubes were probably not for uranium enrighment but Bush told Congress otherwise.

The case for WMD was so weak that Bush set up a team in the Pentagon headed by Wolfowitz to construct intelligence to support his case. That team rewrote intelligence briefings to make it look like there were WMD. In the end we found out there were no WMD but it was too late.

I am investigating President Bush because I believe he committed serious crimes. I am doing this out of a love for America, not out of a hatred for Bush. I really don't care if Bush goes to jail or not as long as America is safe, secure and continues to stand as a beacon for Democracy and Freedom.

One of the greatest things about America is that we are free to raise our voices in protest. If the Supreme Court legalizes abortion, Americans can march and protest. If gays try to express their love by committing to a relationship and being married then others are free to protest against their right to marry. If the President makes a mistake, Americans are free to point that out. God help us if Americans are someday unable to criticize the President. Then America would truly be lost.

Peace,
Phil
