Subject: "Need only 1 article of impeachment"
6/24/05 - An interesting idea for impeachment.

If you read the Constitutional context of impeachment and \"founders' intent\" works of the time, impeachment is not for criminal activities for which remedies already exist in the criminal codes of the U.S. or in treaties adopted by the U.S. which thereby have force as law of the land. No, impeachment of the president was intended for misuse of the office or taking the nation down a wrong path, for which no remedy exists in law. Impeach Bush on the sole count of incompetence as Commander-in-Chief. All other military leaders can be administratively removed for cause. The CiC (and VP for good measure) may only be removed by impeachment. The sufficient basis comprises failures of grand strategy, strategy, planning, operations design, and execution, all of which is there in the public record. Nowhere is it so clearly stated, in stark and concise military terms, as in work from America's War Colleges (National WC, Army WC, Air WC, Naval WC, Marine Corps WC [the least generally reflective, but cf. regardless http://www.mcu.usmc.mil/MCWAR/irp/Documents/CJCS%20Essay%20-%20Smith.pdf]), the Senior Service Schools (National Defense University, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Naval Postgraduate School, Command & General Staff College, Joint Forces Staff College), and the military's professional journals (Parameters, Proceedings, Military Review, &c.). Just download all the papers your researchers find valuable before you go public, or this administration is likely to shut down the websites' public access to research and analysis work!
